Adesto Technologies

adesto logo Adesto Technologies is the leading developer of Conductive Bridge RAM (CBRAM) memory technology. CBRAM is an ultra low power, CMOS compatible non-volatile memory that is customized for a wide range of discrete and embedded markets. Adesto Technologies Corporation currently partners with a number of leading semiconductor companies in deployment of CBRAM technology in the market place.

Adesto Technologies Corporation provides application-specific and ultra-low power non-volatile memory products in the United States, the rest of Americas, the European Union, the Asia Pacific, and internationally. It offers standard serial flash products that include DataFlash for data-logging applications, such as industrial automation, home automation sensing, and health and fitness tracking; and Fusion Flash for use in various high-volume consumer applications, such as wearables, mobile, and other applications. The company also provides conductive bridging RAM based products comprising Mavriq for Internet of Things and other applications, which include camera sensors, Bluetooth low energy devices, wearables, gaming components, printer cartridges, medical equipment, and other devices; and Moneta for retail beacons, wearable medical and fitness devices, industrial and environmental sensors, agricultural monitors, and other low energy/long battery life, or energy harvesting system applications. Adesto Technologies Corporation sells its products directly to original equipment manufacturers and original design manufacturers. The company was incorporated in 2006 and is headquartered in Sunnyvale, California.

In 2007, the founders of Adesto Technologies set out to build a new company focused on developing innovative, low-power memory solutions based on a promising type of Resistive RAM technology called Conductive Bridging RAM (CBRAM). CBRAM is different from other emerging memories in that it can be customized to serve a wide range of applications. As a standalone memory, commercial CBRAM products have inherent advantages over competitive non-volatile memories. Its advantages include ultra low-energy consumption and ultra-fast write capabilities, making it a natural fit for Internet of Things, Wearables, and other energy-conscious applications. In addition, Adesto has licensed its technology as an embedded memory to several large SOC (System on Chip) Semiconductor companies and thus enabled them to develop a future roadmap without limitations.

In September 2012, Adesto expanded the company's value-added memory business by acquiring Atmel's DataFlash and Serial Flash product lines. Since the acquisition, Adesto has enhanced its Serial Flash lines by bringing to market new, low voltage, feature-rich products. These products deliver to customers high quality Serial Flash solutions which help designers to extend battery life, reduce system power, and reduce overall system costs.
