SeCoS Halbleitertechnologie GmbH, founded in the 1960, began its function as a military and people’s provider of computer parts.As East and West Germany united in 1989 and the business transformed from state-owned to civilian-owned, its name changed to LesAg HBB.
In 1996, Les Ag HBB was renamed SeCos GmbH and an additional 14 million Deutsch Mark was invested in the plant for equipment renovation. Its major products included Schottky Wafers, TVS Wafers, and small Signal Transistor Wafers …etc.
Ever since the factory was established, its products upgraded from 2” wafers, 3”, to 6” wafers. Its products also transformed gradually from military purpose and livelihood industry to general consumer electronic product components and parts. Among them are computer, radio, TV set, mobile phone communication, and palm components… etc. Reacting to increased applications and demands, in terms of production capacity, SeCoS also expanded from 500 per month to 8,000 per month. In addition, its business expanded from inside Germany to most European countries and then North America.
As time passes the manufacturing focus of global electronic products gradually expanded to Asian region, SeCoS GmbH has also started to sell products to Asia.In 2006, for more efficient logistic strategies, SeCoS' current president Mathew Liu received official authorization from SeCoS GmbH to assemble their products here in Asia and established locally SeCoS Semiconductor Corp. Major management and operations of SeCoS Semi. Corp. are now located in Taiwan.
SeCoS Semiconductor Corp. never ceased the research and development of new products.
For SeCoS' chips to maintain high quality and high reliability after packaging, SeCoS Semiconductor Corp. cooperated with Erican Technology to engage in the production of Discrete Components.
In maintenance of finished product stability, SeCoS' subcontractors must be ISO9001, QS9000 and ISO14000 accredited. To further insure product quality, we periodically send resident inspector to examine all products.
With the R&D of many package finished, and quantity production in progress, including the whole series from SOD-723 to TO-3P, we are confident to provide the highest-quality and satisfaction required by our customers.
