CUI Isolated Dc/Dc Converters, DC-DC Isolated

CUI Devices’ power relays are ideal for high-level current switching with max switching currents from 5 up to 40 A. CUI's power relays feature SPST (1 Form A), SPDT (1 Form C), DPST (2 Form A), or DPDT (2 Form C) contact forms, through hole packages, and silver alloy or silver tin oxide overlay contact material. With max switching voltages up to 440 Vac or 120 Vdc, our power relays carry coil power ratings from 200 to 900 mW and coil voltages from 3 up to 110 Vdc.

Details

CUI Inc. is a technology company specializing in the design and manufacture of electronic components. One of their product lines includes DC-DC converters, which are devices used to convert one voltage level to another in a DC (direct current) electrical system. These converters are commonly used in various electronic applications to efficiently regulate voltage levels.

Ranging from 0.66 to 700 watts, CUI’s diverse line of isolated dc-dc converters are available in board mount, chassis mount and DIN rail packages. Ideal for a range of applications including telecommunication equipment, industrial control systems, battery powered equipment and consumer electronics, our isolated dc-dc modules provide a variety of package, input voltage, output voltage and isolation voltage options. For applications where an onboard power system is not feasible, our line of chassis mount and DIN rail isolated dc-dc converters offer a convenient and rugged mounting solution.

Types of DC-DC Converters by CUI Inc.

  1. Isolated DC-DC Converters: These converters provide electrical isolation between the input and output, which is crucial in applications where safety, noise reduction, or voltage level shifting is required.

  2. Non-Isolated DC-DC Converters: These converters do not provide electrical isolation but are often more cost-effective and simpler in design.

Features

  • Wide Input Voltage Range: CUI's converters typically have a wide input voltage range, allowing them to be used in a variety of applications.

  • Efficiency: CUI focuses on high-efficiency designs, which is important for reducing power losses and improving the overall performance of the system.

  • Regulation: Their converters are designed to provide stable output voltage even with variations in input voltage or load conditions.

  • Protection Features: Many of CUI's converters come with protection features such as overvoltage protection (OVP), undervoltage protection (UVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), and thermal shutdown.

  • Size and Form Factors: CUI offers converters in various sizes and form factors, including surface mount (SMD) and through-hole configurations, to accommodate different installation requirements.

Applications

  • Industrial: DC-DC converters are commonly used in industrial applications such as automation, robotics, and machinery where stable power supplies are critical.

  • Telecommunications: These converters are also found in telecom equipment to ensure reliable power delivery to sensitive electronics.

  • Consumer Electronics: In consumer electronics, DC-DC converters are used in devices like smartphones, tablets, and laptops to efficiently manage battery power.
