VITROHM - Wirewound Resistors Specialist

VITROHM has an excellent reputation of being a high quality manufacturer of resistive products for decades. The company VITROHM was founded in 1933 in Denmark for producing wire resistors (power resistors ) and carbon mixture layer resistors. After further locations in Germany and Portugal were added, YAGEO Corp. took VITROHM over in 1996. Today VITROHM manufactures in Portugal wirewound resistors and Power film resistors with about 200 employees. VITROHM today is the specialist for low- power resistors, which are widely used as the "shunt" resistors for controlling currents in modern power supplies and power supplies. The painted or fully insulated wirewound resistors will be prepared in addition to the known resistors in ceramic case. Wirewound resistors with fuse function are also in the portfolio. Additionally SMD versions are available.

Applications
     
Resistors of Series K:

  • Resistors of Series K, wound on fiber glass core, have a special internal direct contact to virtually eliminate resistance changes caused by varying, often high temperatures.

Series BW and BWF:

  • Series BW and BWF, wound on fiber glass core and capped in a special process, suit all requirements for automatic insertion due to molded case. The accurate fusing characteristic of Series BWF reliably protects circuits from overload.

Resistors of Series CR:

  • Resistors of Series CR are wound on ceramic carriers, all-welded contacts. Coated, the resistors comply with all requirements for precision and high ratings.
