On March 17, 2017, AP Memory Technology Corporation (TSEC:6531) acquired Zentel Electronics Corp. (GTSM:3553). Following the acquisition, Zentel Electronics Corp. became a wholly owned subsidiary of AP Memory Technology Corporation and delisted from the Taipei Exchange. Zentel has a strong foothold in the DRAM market, tracing its origins back to Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacture Corp. Since 2002, products have been developed under the Zentel brand, focusing on industrial and automotive markets (achieving TS16949:2009 certification in 2012). Unique features such as RH-free memory (immune against the "row hammer attack") and planned built-in ECC correction on DDR3 memory enhance security and ease of use for customer applications. Today, Zentel Japan Cooperation stands as an independent brand under AP Memory.
