MICRO CRYSTAL – PASSIVE COMPONENTS

Micro CrystalMicro Crystal is a designer and manufacturer of ultra small low frequency surface mount crystals and oscillators. The high-precision photolithographic process enables Micro Crystal to produce sub-miniature tuning fork and high frequency AT-cut crystals covering a wide range from 10kHz to 250MHz. Micro Crystal makes oscillators for applications with extreme environmental requirements and oven controlled oscillators as well as real time clocks modules with integrated crystals.

Founded in 1978 in Grenchen , Switzerland as a producer of watch crystals, Micro Crystal has become the leading supplier of miniature quartz crystals for virtually every kind of electronic appliances. Today, Micro Crystal employs about 1000 persons worldwide, with large volume production in China, Thailand and Switzerland. Micro Crystal, ISO 9001 certified since 1998, has the reputation as an extremely flexible and reliable source for quality frequency-control products. These products are used in a variety of markets including telecommunications, medical electronics, consumer, automotive, computer and watch industries.

Products

Micro Crystal AG, a company of the Swatch Group Inc. Switzerland, was founded in 1978 in Grenchen, Switzerland, as a producer of Tuning Fork Crystals for watches. Today, Micro Crystal AG is a leading manufacturer of Miniature Quartz Crystals (30 kHz to 250 MHz), Real-Time Clock (RTC) Modules, Oscillators and OCXOs for the world’s leading manufacturers of IoT, wearable, automotive, industrial and medical applications.

kHz Oscillators Overview

kHz Tuning Fork Oscillators

This Oscillator combines a 32.768 kHz or a 100 kHz Tuning Fork Crystal Resonator with a CMOS Based Oscillator Circuitry inside a Miniature SMD Ceramic Package.

kHz Quartz Crystals Overview

KHz Quartz Crystals

Low Frequency Tuning Fork Crystals need to operate under vacuum, therefore require hermetically sealed packages. All products are RoHS-compliant and 100% lead free.

Temperature Sensor

The Digital Ultra-Low Power Temperature Sensor Module combines a 12-bit Temperature Sensor with a Real-Time Clock (RTC) IC and an embedded 32.768 kHz XTAL inside a Miniature SMD Ceramic Package. Programmable High and Low Temperature Alarms with Time Stamp make it ideal for critical Asset Tracking.

Crystals are naturally occurring or synthetically produced solid materials with a highly regular atomic structure. They are used as resonators in electronic circuits to create precise and stable oscillations. Common types include quartz crystals and ceramic resonators.

Oscillators are electronic circuits that use active components like transistors or integrated circuits in combination with passive components like resistors and capacitors to generate periodic signals or oscillations.
