POLYTECH / VISHAY CAPACITORS

Polytech was established in January 2010 as a manufacturer of surface-mount conductive polymer tantalum capacitors. Its parent company, Holy Stone Enterprise Co. Ltd based in Taipei, Taiwan, is known primarily for manufacturing applications-specific ceramic capacitors and has several Far East plants, including a 40,000 square meter plant in Lungtan, Taiwan.

June 2014 – Vishay Intertechnology, Inc., one of the world’s largest manufacturers of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components, acquired Polytech (“Holy Stone Polytech”), a Japanese manufacturer of tantalum capacitors, from Holy Stone Enterprise Co. Ltd. Vishay Polytech products are backed by over four decades of experience in capacitor design and manufacturing. Vishay acquired of Holy Stone Polytech Co., Ltd. (Holy Stone Polytech), a Japanese manufacturer of tantalum capacitors, from Holy Stone Enterprise Co. Ltd. Holy Stone Polytech Co. manufactures SMD Conductive Polymer Tantalum Capacitors, pprofessional electronic components technologies as well as producing MLCC with their own brand name.

The Vishay Polytech product portfolio includes molded tantalum chip capacitors with manganese dioxide cathode, molded tantalum chip capacitors with polymer cathode, and niobium capacitors. Features of Vishay Polytech capacitors include low equivalent series resistance (ESR), high reliability, high-temperature performance, small sizes, and low profiles.The Vishay Polytech product portfolio, which complements the existing Vishay tantalum capacitor product portfolio, became part of Vishay Intertechnology when Vishay acquired Holystone Polytech Co., Ltd., located in Miharu, Japan, in June 2014. The Miharu facility is ISO-9001 AND ISO-14001 certified.
