Yageo announced the merger of Teapo and Jamicon

Jamicon-Teapo Yageo expanded its capabilities by acquiring two Taiwanese manufacturers, transforming the company into a comprehensive destination for passive electronic components. In 1996, Yageo acquired Teapo Electronics Corp., a capacitor manufacturer, followed by the acquisition of Chilisin Electronics Corp., an inductor manufacturer, in 1997. On March 12th 2019, Teapo Electronic Corporation and Jamicon Corporation, two manufacturers of aluminum electrolytic capacitors under the Yageo Group, announced the suspension of trading. Prior to this, Teapo held more than 40% of Jamicon's shares, and it is speculated that Teapo may acquire all of Jamicon's shares. Both companies will under the name Kaimai Electronic Corp. and will be represented on the market by the well-known brand "JAMICON". Kaimei Electronic Corp. sets the course to become one of the most important manufacturers in the field of passive components. After the merger, the company will no longer be limited to the passive component industry, and will supply key components to the market in the future. At present, Teapo and Jamicon's main products are aluminum electrolytic capacitors. They have large-scale aluminum capacitor products. In addition to strengthening the life and miniaturization of existing products, they are also committed to developing products for the automotive market, such as liquid capacitors and pin-type solid capacitors.

Kaimei Electronics is a leading manufacturer of Aluminum electrolytic capacitor and motor fans in the industry, also widely known as the earliest and most up-to-scaled capacitor manufacturer in Taiwan with technologies that matches Japan (the world’s leading capacitor technology). The Kaimei Group has successfully grown through the acquisition and integration, offering high value-added products and services across different industry segments over 60 countries. It continuously investments in capabilities of product development, manufacturing and marketing while developing deep domain knowledge in the segments it operates. The integration of the two companies, Teapo Electronic and Kaimei Electronic, has successfully completed in 2019 September 30th, which also accelerated businesses growth. The company will strive for excellence with its continuous business expansion and strengthening core competencies toward the goal of being the leading Key-component supplier in the industry.
