Diptronics DIP Switches

Quick Overview

Diptronics DIP Switches are miniature switches that are mounted onto PCBs and used to make settings on electronic devices. DIP switches have been around since the 1970s as electromechanical devices that allow users to make manual changes to an electronic circuit. The simplicity, flexibility, and low cost of DIP switches have ensured their long-standing use in several electronics applications. They come in a variety of sizes, configurations, switching mechanisms, and power ratings.

Details

Diptronics Dip Switch

DIP (Dual In-line Package) switch, is a set of small manual electronic switches that are designed to be packaged with other circuits. The term DIP switch may refer either to an individual switch on a multi-switch unit or to the entire unit as a whole. Most Diptronics regular and miniature DIP switches are process sealed for automated assembly (some require tape seal) and are available in SMT and thru-hole termination.

Customers can choose the number of positions from Diptronics based on the configuration need of their application. Some DIP switches can be actuated by hand, while others require a special tool or screwdriver to change the switch position.

Diptromics series of surface mount half-pitch DIP switches, low profile and standard profile DIP switches, rotary and coded DIP switches, coded rotary DIP switches, SIP switches and jumper switches feature a variety of extended actuator and flush actuator styles. C&K DIP switches are available in surface mount, through-hole, right angle and vertical mounting options.
