Diptronics Tact Switch
Tactile switches provide tactile feedback to the user when the switch or button makes a contact with the control panel underneath, which is usually a printed circuit board. Diptronics offers a large selection of tactile switches, ranging from miniature surface mount switches to IP rated. Our tactile switches come with dome switches and have different actuator lengths that add a custom feature to fit in every design application.
Tactile Switches are an electromechanical device used to start or stop current flow along a circuit. Devices in this family are often very small and are turned on or off through the use of an actuator that is depressed into the unit’s body. These devices also provide feedback to the user through an audible click and/or a change in pressure upon reaching the trigger point. The operating force ranges from 50gf to 970gf.
Tactile switches include dome switches that are located under a rubber bubble or dome. When the dome switch is pressed, the dome collapses and makes the switch contact. Tactile switches come in a range of sizes and actuator styles and are LED capable. Tactile switches are designed for use in keyboards, keypads, instruments, and interface control-panel applications. These are heavily used in aerospace and aviation, communication, defense, and all electronic instrumentation applications. Diptronics T6S Series Tactile Switches
Diptronics T6S Tactile Switches are surface mount tactile switches with a high operating force of 360gf or 300gf. These tact switches feature silicon rubber domes, copper alloy contacts, and brass terminals. Diptronics T6S Tactile Switches are rated for 10μA, 1VDC minimum, and a 50mA, 16VDC maximum.
