The company was founded in 1961 as a semiconductor products division of HP. In 1999, Hewlett-Packard spun off its semiconductor division, creating Agilent Technologies and later Avago in 2005. Avago has invested about $1 billion since 2011 in expanding its 1.2 million-square-foot campus in southeast Fort Collins.
