Electrical Tapes

electrical tapesElectrical tape is available in a variety of colors for color coding wires and wire types, though it is seen most often as a narrow, black roll of tape with smooth rubber, vinyl, varnished cambric, or mastic backing. Electrical tape is an economical general purpose insulating tape that has excellent resistance to moisture, abrasion and corrosion. Electrical tape insulates electrical wires, preventing shorts and protecting against electrical shock. Therefore, electrical tape is used to insulate electrical wires, insulate other material that conduct electricity and make minor repairs to damaged wires.
